I loved Fugazi through the 90s. I did my best to catch a show wherever I was stationed or living. I still have a few of their songs in my running playlist on my iPhone. It was around the middle to late 90s that I started to enjoy instrumental songs from my favorite bands. I used instrumental music as the soundtrack to my own private and imaginary stories and dreams, unfolding in my head, during long distance runs. This song is one of my favorites when tackling a particular tough hill at a park when running.

I highly recommend their first and third albums. They rock.

This is a really cool song by the band This Will Destroy You. They are a post-rock band from Texas, who play music much in the same vein as Explosions in the Sky--though there is a definite sound difference. Man, this song rocks.

I totally miss this band. I caught one of their shows back in the early 90s with Fugazi and Slant 6, before their jump to a major label.
